FAQ

  1. Election Day is November 3, 2026. Polling locations are open from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Anyone in line when the polls close is allowed to stay and vote. Individuals arriving after the polling place has closed will not be allowed to vote.

  2. Request a Missouri absentee ballot here. Voters in Missouri must provide a reason for needing an absentee ballot. All absentee ballot requests must be received by the election authority no later than 5:00 p.m. on October 21, 2026. Voters can vote by absentee in the office of the local election authority until 5:00 p.m. the night before the election.

  3. If you are registered to vote, find your polling place here. You can only vote at your assigned polling place.

  4. You’ll need one of the following forms of identification:

    • A nonexpired Missouri driver or non-driver license;
    • A nonexpired military ID, including a veteran’s ID card;
    • A nonexpired United States passport; or
    • Another photo ID issued by the United States or the state of Missouri which is either not expired or expired after the date of the most recent general election.
  5. If you move or change your name, you’ll need to update your registration to vote.

    If you moved to a different address within the same county, you can change your registration address on Election Day at your new polling place. Contact your local election official with address changes before Election Day to find your new polling place.

    If you moved to Missouri after the deadline to register for a presidential election, you are entitled to register and vote only a presidential and vice presidential ballot in your new jurisdiction.

  6. Every polling place must have an accessible voting system, including audiovisual accessibility. Accessible systems include an audio ballot to make selections or the ability to enlarge text. View approved voting systems.

  7. See a personalized ballot for your voting location.

  8. There are plenty of resources to help you relay your voice this Election Day. Check out Missouri’s official voting home page or find more digestible information from Vote411 or The League of Women Voters.
